RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a very simple and easy way to index your Post quickly to Google and also share your posts to social networks faster. RSS feed is very useful for bloggers, almost every professional blogger must use this function. RSS feed provide Email subscribe facility through which users can subscribe to your blog and feed burner will send updates of your posts automatically to every subscriber. This seems very difficult if you will do this manually. There are many RSS Feeders available on the internet, they will feed your posts to different websites and search engines automatically by your RSS feed. Also you can add .xml sitemap to Google Webmaster tools to index your site more quickly.

Steps to Setup RSS feed:
Step 1: Go to Feedburner and sign in there with your Blogger or Google Account.
Step 2: After Sign in to Feedburner, type your blogger address to burn feeds from your Blog. After putting URL of your Blog, click on "Next".

Step 3: Now select any one, "Atom" or "RSS", its your own choice. After that, Click on Next.

Difference between "Atom" and "RSS".


  • ATOM is an IETF standard while RSS is not
  • ATOM feeds explicitly indicates the content while the browser is left to figure out whether the RSS feed contains plain text or escaped HTML
  • ATOM code is modular and reusable while RSS code is not
  • RSS still holds dominance in the syndication format due to its head start and popularity

Step 4: Add your blog title and feed address to feedburner.

Step 5: Click on "Skip directly to feed management" to Skip some steps that is not important.
